Hyderabad, November 17, 2021: Pullela Gopichand, former All England Champion and Chief National Coach of the Indian Badminton team, launched Badmintonhub.in, an exclusive online badminton store. It is co-founded by Gopichand himself along with sports entrepreneurs Afroze Khan and Ronak Sachdeva in response to the lack of structured retail market for quality badminton equipment.
Badmintonhub.in aims to become the go to platform for every Badminton player, from absolute beginners to top pros.
Badmintonhub.in will only be available for online ordering now. However it’ll soon be opening retail stores across major cities in India. Hyderabad, Chennai & Pune have been shortlisted for first leg of stores that’ll be opened by January 2022.
Speaking at the launch event, Gopichand said “Last year, when everything was moving online, badminton players still had to rely on the unstructured retail market for their gear needs as there was no reliable ecommerce platform available. Badmintonhub.in is my humble effort to make world class badminton gear easily accessible to the players in India.“
What’s starting out as an online store, Badmintonhub.in wants to become one of the driving forces that’ll take Indian Badminton forward by supporting/sponsoring promising players and academies. And will contribute in producing more and more champions from India.
