Delhi, [India], October 07, 2025: When Hashim Ahmad Hashu walked construction sites as a child with his father Nisar Ahmed, he never imagined he would one day revive a dream that had been abandoned for nearly two decades.
His father, a structure designer, had established Hashu Associates in 1999 but couldn’t sustain it due to family responsibilities. The firm sat dormant while young Hashim pursued architecture at B.V. Bhoomireddy College of Engineering in Karnataka, graduating in 2017 with both a degree and a mission.
“My father always told me that no matter how much designing skill you have, you’ll only be valued with a proper architecture degree,” Hashu recalls. “I kept his words close and decided to fulfill both our dreams.”
Since reviving Hashu Associates in 2017, Hashu has transformed it into one of Delhi’s most recognized architectural firms. His portfolio spans luxurious residences, factories, colleges, hospitals, resorts, and showrooms. The recognition followed quickly: Architecture & Interior Design Excellence Award (2021), features in The Architects Diary and Inside Architecture Magazine (2022), Trendsetter Design Award (2023), and the recent Global Architects Builders Award for his 50-bedded hospital design.
Beyond Architecture: The Vastu Advantage
Hashu’s unique selling point lies in his deep knowledge of Vastu Shastra, unusual for a Muslim architect. This expertise recently surprised a client who wanted her house designed according to Vastu principles. After Hashu provided detailed directional guidelines, she consulted a pandit for verification.
“The pandit told her exactly what I had said,” Hashu laughs. “She was shocked that I knew Vastu so well. Knowledge has no religion, it’s about serving clients’ needs.”

Hashu Associates offers comprehensive services: architectural design, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), structural engineering, and interior design. This integrated approach eliminates the chaos of coordinating multiple consultants while reducing overall costs.
“Clients don’t need to juggle different experts,” Hashu explains. “We handle everything from concept to completion.”
Sustainable Design Focus
Hashu is now pushing sustainable architecture that reduces power dependency through natural cooling and heating techniques. “Buildings should work with nature, not against it,” he says.
His message to potential clients is clear: hire certified architects, not contractors or civil engineers. “Each space must function efficiently. Only trained architects understand how to achieve that balance.”
From a dormant 1999 firm to national recognition, Hashu proves that some dreams just need the right person to revive them.
