In a proud moment for India, Uzma Charania, a renowned educationist and international youth advocate from Mumbai, was honoured with the Global Peace Advocate Award at the prestigious International Diplomats Conference (IDC) 2025 held at the United Nations ESCAP in Bangkok.
A core team member and Global Ambassador for Voice For Rights International (VFRI), Uzma played a pivotal role in organizing Asia’s largest youth diplomacy summit, uniting over 250 delegates from 50+ countries to discuss global cooperation, sustainability, and inclusive education. Her behind-the-scenes leadership ensured the event ran seamlessly, showcasing her commitment to empowering young voices on the world stage.
“Leadership isn’t about the spotlight,” Uzma said. “It’s about creating a space where others can shine.”
Founder of Z Edustation, a personalized global academic hub for IGCSE, A-Levels, and IBDP students, Uzma brings together academic brilliance and emotional intelligence. With a Ph.D. in Economics, Chartered Accountancy credentials, and certification as an Emotional Intelligence Trainer, she has mentored thousands of youth toward self-awareness, resilience, and purpose.
She has represented India at several key global forums including the World Youth Forum (Portugal), International Leadership Program (Istanbul), and the Diplomat Training Program (Baku).
Her long list of accolades includes the Best Global Teacher Award, Excellence in Education Awards, and Youth Empowerment Champion title by VFRI.
At the IDC, Uzma wore a striking black saree with India’s national pin, embodying tradition and transformation. She dedicated the award to every student she has mentored and every girl who dares to dream beyond limits.
